Portland French School

LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER

Portland French School offers to students of all ages a complete school library. The library provides two different areas, a research one with text books where students can learn to research and a reading area where books are sorted following the school cycles 1 2 and 3.

The library also offers a video area stocked with documentary movies and popular French cartoons and movies for children of all ages.

Each class visits the library once a week; librarians guide them through their choice of books and read a story to the children to try and develop their love of books. Children also borrow books to bring home.
In an effort to stay current, the library has some memberships to French magazines and orders new textbooks.
