Full-Time Temporary Teaching Position
The Portland French School is a nonprofit international school offering a strong multilingual education in a nurturing and culturally diverse environment that promotes academic excellence, lifelong learning and global citizenship. The school is located in the heart of John’s Landing SW Portland 5 minutes from downtown.
We are a small, private SW Portland school, looking for a full-time temporary teacher to teach English Language Arts and Humanities. This position is for a middle school experienced teacher to work with our small student population, the largest class has nine children with only one class per grade.An ideal candidate for this position would be some who is an Oregon certified teacher, has a master’s degree in teaching or in education, has three or more years of experience with the age group, is a creative lesson/unit designer and is comfortable collaborating with other teachers and parents. We are close to becoming certified as an International Baccalaureate school so, familiarity with the IBO program is a plus but not necessary. As a teacher here, you would be expected to teach English Language Arts and Humanities for grades 6-8 while also helping with school projects as they arise.
